Marks & Spencer 125 Years Anniversary Packaging

1

This retro-style design scheme celebrates M&S’s 125 year anniversary. Some of the designs, like the jams and fruit jellies, were taken directly from the archives. Other ranges were inspired by archive designs and vintage M&S logos. See the MANY designs below.

isn't it time we left retro in the past

Retro was kind of apt for the job as M&S were celebrating 125 years!

I Agree with Louise Ben 125 years is a big anniversary and what better way than to highlight this with the addition of packs from the archive over the 125 year period.

Your comment has no substance so your better keeping it to yourself.

I never get tired of retro when it's done well

Sadly given that M&S just spent a fortune over the last 5 years bringing the brand and themselves into the 21st century, they missed a great opportunity to look forward not back. The design work is great but not necessarily relevant.

If you do retro don't just copy what you had but make a new addition of past successes

M&S were celebrating 125 years of history, it seems to me the whole point was to look back rather that forward!
From the description only 2 packs were re-issued the rest took inspiration from Marks & Spencers archives.
I think the range looks great & authentic
