Before & After: Steaz Tea

1

Steaz Tea has undergone a dramatic makeover with the help of Wallace Church. Read about it, and see the new lineup (and old) below.

"The Healthy Beverage Company partnered with Wallace Church to create a fresh new look for its Steaz Sparkling Green Tea line. Since its inception Steaz has been on a mission to build a healthier world with great tasting beverages that benefit the Mind, Body, Soul . . . and Planet. All of its products are Fair Trade Certified and Organic.

The challenge for Wallace Church was to create a design that expressed the very essence of this brand: vitality, energy and passion – with a Zen-cool sensibility.

The central element of our new design is a delicate lotus flower constructed of repeating tea leaves, an icon that radiates energy and vitality while embodying the brand’s holistic sensibility. Adding to the impact of the brand on shelf is the color of each label, which mirrors the color of the teas themselves.

Appealing to both young and old, the refreshed look and feel of the new Steaz Teas identity reinforces the lighthearted, healthy and sustainable positioning of the brand."

Better package design won't make it taste any better.

I guess it'd be a nice redesign if every other beverage on the market didn't look exactly the same. *sigh*

@Jim: Hopefully it's not competing with catfood.

Tough crowd today. I think this is beautiful. I have a minor quibble with the 'a' in the logotype, but otherwise it's a dramatic improvement and gives them a stronger branded presence.

Always the same bubbles in front.

Innovation is not something you'll find at Steaz.

1) This looks nothing like vitamin water. If you think it does, then you have no business commenting on a package design blog.

2) If you feel that this looks like that dog food, you have similar problems. The overall impression from that package is cream. This is a color impression. Also, the rendering of the flower shape is not even similar.

3) As for the "bubbles in the front" being the same... get a life. This is a package design blog, not a photoshop jockey rendering critique blog.

Steaz is really good. If you have not tried it yet I suggest you should. They also make plain teas. I like the way it looks.

Hyper spirograph etherial BP logo. The beverage is tasty though.

The design IS what caught my attention in the store, browsing through all the other brands. I most likely would have never noticed it had it not been for this label. I am now a loyal customer of this product. Oh, it also tastes wonderful!
