Student Spotlight: Erin Dameron

3 projects by Erin Dameron, a Brooklyn based designer who is a recent graduate of Parsons the New School for Design:

Penelope_packaging

"The goal of this project was to create, brand and design
packaging for a five piece cosmetic line.
The students were allowed to choose the brands name, direction and
price point. My five piece skin care line Penelope was inspired by the retail store Anthropologie and is targeted
towards women who shop there. Penelope’s unique bottle designs, delicate die cuts, and intricate 3-D floral detailing created to mimic lace merge vintage aesthetics with modern form."

Freskline

"Fresk Water bottles sleek and modern design is aimed at urban
professionals. The design of the Fresk bottle carrier reflects the
minimalism of the bottle's design, while also providing easy stability
for the 6packs. The objective was to create, brand, and package the
beverage and to create a unified look between the original product and
three line extensions."

Sohobeer_bottleandcarrier

"Soho Brewery's design concept is based on the
neighborhood the brewery was founded in and is targeted towards the
designers that live there. Two different labels are used, one large
with a two color pattern and a smaller one that only contains the
brewery's name, in a layering effect to give a new take to traditional
beer labels."

A few more images of these projects after the jump.

Beautiful design! Would showcase SO MUCH BETTER against a contrasting backdrop.

quite like the fragrance line. The one concern about the water bottles would be how easily you could crush them for recycling. Also the beer looks a little too much like fancy pop to me...but overall the design is nice.

I really like the box for the Penelope line, but I am not sure if the "lace" detail carries over well to the bottles. Its a great concept though! Gives it a high end feel

Penelope is unique and very special for the hyper-competitive skincare category.

The other two are more predictable.

The beverage fits into its category, but a little too neatly, making it 'just another bottled water'.

The beer seems incongruous. Even designers want a 'real' beer. I can't see it really being strongly appealing to designers. This one falls short.

Perfume line is solid. Really unique. Really nice texture to those bottles. Good job.Water company looks good. I'd clean up the type a little (looks like FRESI <)Beer is weak, I'd even consider cutting it out of your portfolio.

I agree with everyone else, the beer bottle doesn't really resonate with me, kind of looks like one of those "grungy" stock photo vectors. Not sure how arrows and smiley faces would be representative of Soho or appeal to designers.

The perfume bottle is a hit.

Does the beer look like its the CocaCola red in person? cause it looks that way online. And the water really really reminds me of SmartWater :/
