Yardley Hypothetical Redesign

-6-5-3
New work from Here Design and The Futurelab:

"This was a hypothetical project to redesign Yardley that we worked on in collaboration with The Futurelab. The intention with the design was to revisit Yardley's glory days in
the 1920s and 30s, when it moved with the times and started trends
rather than followed them – it was an aspirational, innovative and
sensual brand.

We chose to revive and
continue Yardley's original design philosophy with innovative Corian
and glass packaging structures, a clean and elegant brand marque and
use of original British textile designs."

Such an improvement over Yardley's current packaging! More images after the jump.

Of all the designs, I like the second one the best. The brightly printed wrappers feel fresh, but still fitting of the Yardley brand. The others are almost to "sexy" to realistically work.

Awesome upscale nod to the classic glamour days.. LOVING the vintage textiles combined with the typefaces and sleek shapes. So refreshing in a sea of minimalist 'budget' graphics and faux-Victorian hipster looks. A+

That first bottle looks VERY much like Michael Kors...

there is a very clear and consistent brand identity, yet it's not limited - each individual product has the freedom to express a bit of it's own personality... beautiful.
