Brand Spotlight: ASKUL by Stockholm Design Lab

Ishot-223Ishot-2210Ishot-227Ishot-2212Ishot-2215

A beautiful selection of work by Stockholm Design Lab for ASKUL focusing on "clarity":

"ASKUL is a rapidly expanding Japanese mail-order company. The company offers 41,000 items rating from OA/PC Supllies, stationary, furniture and food to clothes. The product range includes well-known brands but also the company's own private brand products.

Stockholm Design Lab has mainly worked with design for ASKUL's private brand. Our aim has been to distinguish these products in a clear and graphical way: clarity equals more sales. The key has been to find and use symbols that are easy for the customers to understand at first glace, for example the size (1-4) for the batteries, the drops for the wet wipes and the line space for the note books."

Many more images after the jump. Which ones are your favorite?

Very nice. They have found a way to make the design cohesive and recognizable throughout the entire private label line, even though the products are in different categories. Well done!

I really like askul's packaging, would be nice to see some of the products be imported here (Sweden...).

Pretty funny tough; 'askul' in swedish translates to 'really funny'. It suits!
