Ellg Gourmet Chocolate

Picture 6
Ellg Gourmet Chocolate packaging from Portugal features a simple, clean aesthetic. The stark look draws attention to the number '7' as a replacement for one of the 'L's in the word ELLG. Admittedly, this look is typical for European brands, but I still find it appealing as an American designer. I wonder though - could this packaging use something else, or does it work?

nice and clean but doesnt say chocolate (or gourmet) to me. a design like this might do better for a vodka - its very distilled.

What exactly does the number 7 have to do with their brand?

The thing is:

"ELLOGIO LISBOA CHOCOLATE" - tell us the brand, the city and what it is "chocolate".As the word ELOGIO means in portuguese "complement", it is a complement to the city of Lisbon which by the way is know as "the city of the 7 hills". That's why it has a 7 on it!It's a gourmet choc for Lisbon lover's, written in Portuguese and making references to history of the city!

;) but yes, I agree. It is a bit distilled!
