DeLeon Tequila

Deleon_tequilaDL_TDL3 DL_TDL4

WNew work from Rinks Canetti:

"The vision for the DeLeón Tequila packaging design was to address the
desires of an extremely discerning customer base, whose discriminating
palette demands the only the highest quality products. We wanted to
create a presentation that effortlessly blends together the
authenticity of the tequila’s Mexican heritage with the edge and
sophistication of modern taste.

The beautifully crafted bottle is uniquely
squared, unusually heavy, and created by one of the finest glassmakers
in the world. DeLeón’s trademark DL is subtly sandblasted on the front
as to not draw attention away from the perfection that rests inside. The
minimalistic bottle design gives emphasis to the tequila’s iconic metal
top, the master for which was hand-carved from a one-pound ball of
Sterling silver.

There are currently two varieties of DeLeón available: the ‘Diamante’,
which is already being hailed as the new benchmark for blanco tequila,
and the ultra smooth ‘Reposado’. DeLeón's much anticipated Extra Añejo
is scheduled for release in the fall of 2009.

With limited quantities of DeLeón Tequila being bottled each year,
initial distribution in the U.S. is limited to a few select sites in
Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas, and Miami. International cities will
include Hong Kong, Dubai, Macau, San Tropez and Monte Carlo."

Two more after the jump.

Is it ironic when a premium priced product uses a free font?

It's not too ironic, considering 50% or more of all the major designer fashion labels use basic free fonts...

Irony is not dependent upon infrequency.
