Vintage Coke Cans

These vintage coke cans come courtesy of www.inspiredology.com

I think some retro cans like these would make for a nice re-release by coke.

Coca-Cola doesn't need to do that, yet. They haven't messed up as much as Pepsi has.

I'd buy them just for the can!

What country are these from? They don't appear to be from the US... I only see a metric measurement on the bottom (280 ml).

very cool .. I love the bottom one with the comic book style

they look like they were released a set since they all follow the same pop-comic style. it seems there's french copy on the packaging (look closely near the logo 'trademark' is bilingual and the body copy running up the side.)

I totally remember these from the '80s! The minty green one was very noticeable when littered.

They may be Canadian, as we are required by law to have both french and english copy on any packaging. We also use metric measurements... If they are Canadian though they were before my time, I can't recall ever seeing them.

I think some of these designs are more successful than others. I like the first one and the last two best.

They're definitely Canadian - I remember them all! Late 80s/early 90s, I can remember how cool we felt as kids collecting the series and it took forever for me to throw them away!

They are definitely Canadian circa 1986. I have the whole set - still.

Never made it to Africa. We only got the standard ones. Is it because we're black? Anyway, as artistic as they obviously are, I think Coke should stick with the predominantly crimson and white cans. Corporate identity is key...

wow beautiful, I'd love to see them go back to an edition of these in the future!

Shout out to Steve Blair on the art direction on some of these. (1,6,7).

My husband and I designed four of these cans. They are definitely Canadian and the four were designed by Toronto studio Quadra Graphics. My Lichtenstein inspired woman is the featured can. The original concept of collector cans for this project came from Europe.

I don't drink coke (or any soda, for that matter), but I would certainly buy these.

I'm so sick of hearing how Pepsi "messed up"

It's old news.
