Is this perhaps proof that Pepsi has realized how incredibly ugly its new packaging is? I hope so, because every time I go to the grocery store I get angry now.
Throwback labels...oy. I think it's more likely a way to market test a real sugar-sweetened version vs. the current high fructose corn syrup formula without confusing consumers.
They should have gone all the way with the retro thing if they were going to do it at all. The shape of the bottles don't work with the throwback thing. Different shapes echoing the old glass bottles would have helped? Like the idea, just not crazy about the execution.
isnt this just a veiled a confession that their real pepsi is made out of corn syrup? you'd think sugar was a basic enough ingredient that they didnt have to advertise it like it were a feature!
Didn't control enough variables. Are people buying it for the content, or for the packaging? Because now, whatever happens, they're going to blame/praise it on the marketing instead of the product... and that's kinda dumb.
If you're "waiting" for the Coke one, wit no further. Go to CubFoods. Go to the mexican foods aisle. Pike up the 16 oz. Coke bottles imported from Mexico. It's the original labels and formula. It also has pure cane sugar.

proves that change is not always good.
It's been there for as long as I can remember.
