Yellow + Blue Organic Wine

I came across this eye-catching organic wine in Tetrapaks via the recommendation of a friend (who says it is delicious):

"What’s in a name? A lot, actually, starting with a passion for great,
naturally produced wines. But let’s begin with Yellow+Blue. When you
mix the two together, you get green — as in environmentally conscious,
forward thinking and committed to positive change."

I haven't found Yellow + Blue locally yet, but I'm far away from a major metro area. Either way, the colors immediately appealed to me.

See more after the jump.

i gotta say that is one UGLY package. the shape is quite cool, but the graphics on top are uggggly. the concept might be green, but the use of so many inks kinda works against the message. this could be so much better if it was simpler and tighter to the "yellow+blue=green" concept.

I would say the bottles are not that good, how about using glass made bottles, that would be a better option with some new graphics.

I just tried this wine, Wow! what an intense flavor, different that the many wines available in the in the Northwest US. I did have a question about Organic Wine in general. I have heard that using sulfites speed the fermentation process and prolong the life of the wine. I have not seen sulfites in organic wines in the past. Is this a common practice? Does it have a flavor? It seems to me that the headaches created by knowingly having a “few more glasses” of wine containing sulfites are more present. Is the addition of sulfites common to lower expenses and spoilage, and does it help to create this mysterious headache? Thanks. Great wine!

Both the before and after make me think I'm buying paint. Such a clever name, though!
