Black & Blonde Betty

Blond6 Pack

"Passport are a brand design company based in Australia and we have just launched a beer in Melbourne called Black Betty Lager.

It's a new beer that intersects the two growing trends of craft brewing and preservative-free beer with the personality of the live music bars that the beer will be sold in.

Black Betty is an all natural, full strength beer with no preservatives.  Blonde Betty, our low carb alternative, will be available in January 2010.

Created by our creatives along with Melbourne-based musicians and tattoo artists, Black Betty aims to break that "designer" look and become more of an authentic consumer brand.  The brand's website aims to be more of a notice board about live music, than just about the beer.

The best thing is that we now have truck loads of beer in the office!"

Black & Blonde Betty, good to know that the new product of beer has been launched. It will definitely be a huge success. The bottle in the pic made my mouth water.

The aroma confused me. When I first poured it - POW - it hit me then it disappeared. I struggled to find out where it went as I sniffed this beer for about five minutes trying to find anything. It was fruity at first with notes of nectarines and peaches then it just vanished.

i can appreciate where they are taking the design process here but one thing i must mention, and this bothers me whenever i see it . . . if you are going to apply a worn/letterpress–style distress to your letterforms (or make them look hand-drawn), you really need to check that the same letters dont have the identical same distress patterns to them.

look at the word "BETTY" in the logotype — there are two "T"s and they are identical, even though the effect applied to them suggests more of a hand-made, hand-set, hand-stamped physical property.

sorry if my explanation made no sense, i cant seem to string words together properly on this monday afternoon.
