Student Spotlight: Lucy Hargrave

Soapbox1 Soapbox2Soapbox3

Lucy Hargrave is a recent graduate of Visual Communication Design at the Queensland College of Art in Brisbane, Australia. Here are two of her projects, the first is Soapworks:

"Designed in collaboration with Josh Tatarynowicz, these packages were for a handmade goats milk soap company. We created four intricate Mandala patterns based on the natural ingredients used in each soap flavour; like peppermint leaves, rose petals & lemon slices. The patterns are laser cut out of card and allow for the soap to be smelt through the packaging."

More images and one more project after the jump.

The "Soapworks" stencil font was made by Josh especially for the project, he creates beautiful typefaces. We had to turn it into a stencil version for the laser cutting.
