"To celebrate the illustrious bottle, HUGO Fragrances has invited Karim to create an Exclusive Limited Edition Bottle and packaging. The 1000 numbered bottles are available in less than 25 flagships world-wide as well as the Galleries Lafayette in Berlin and Sephora Champs Elysses in Paris.

Inspired by the shape of the robust army water flask with its silver screw top and green canvas strap, the non-conformist design of the original HUGO Man flacon instantly captured the creativity of the free-thinking young men for whom the fragrance was designed. Karim used his strong vision to design a functional new concept. Inspired by the fluidity of the fragrance, the bottle and packaging are adorned with unique digital data-fluid graphic effects signifying a rocky terrain and a flowing topography. All editions are put together by hand."

While no doubt a very cool package, as a parent of a six year old, I thought the shape was inspired by a child's sippy cup rather than an army water flask (canteen) until I read the copy.

Great bottle design. What is up with the graphic design? Weak! Karim ≠ Did someone just learn how to use illustrator?
