On January 19, 2009 I posted on an article about the Friggs "Eco Chic" line. I was contacted by Karin van der Kwast Gissberg, a graphic designer from Swedish design studio No Picnic. Karin kindly let me know that No Picnic has designed the packaging for Friggs new ecological tea selection (Nine had done the business case for it).
According to Karin:
"The
packaging is eco friendly because the tea bags are made of compostable
material, and with a barrier/envelope which preserves the taste without
the need of any outer plastic packaging. The plastic envelope around
the tea bags are in a new compostable material called Natureflex. The
tea is also made from 100% ecological and natural ingredients.
The main typography (name of the flavour) on each tea box express the sort of flavour of the tea inside (which is also expressed through the colour scheme of course).The pattern on the envelopes inside is made out of the word 'eco'."
