"Fighting to bridge the gap between commodity and luxury, Botticelli enlisted Struck to craft a visual brand and package design that reflects and exceeds the current demand for premium confectionary chocolates. Looking directly to the Italian artist Botticelli for inspiration, we recalled Botticelli’s apprenticeship as a goldsmith to develop a packaging system that mimics the shape of a gold bar. Viewed as a whole, elements of the Botticelli brand—the box, the name, the descriptor “Illuminated Chocolates,” the nods to Renaissance artwork—provide a well-rounded tribute to Botticelli’s legacy."
