Nano-Bio Kits

NanobiokitsLast night we attended the Design and the Elastic Mind exhibition at MoMA. (Free admission on Fridays courtesy of Target)

A great show with too many ideas to absorb in a single visit. Didn’t expect to see any packaging, but did: Nano-Bio Kits from the Singapore-based Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (IBN).

According to the IBN:

Nano-Bio Kits are educational tools to help teachers introduce applications of bioengineering and nanotechnology to their students through interactive sessions using laboratory equipment commonly available in schools. Targeted at 15 to 19 year olds, the Nano-Bio Kits will demonstrate the latest advances in scientific research, particularly in the areas of nanobiotechnology, medical devices and drug delivery.

Each Kit contains materials for teachers and students to conduct a series of experiments that illustrate various scientific concepts and techniques used in modern research. Background material and lesson plans are provided to help teachers incorporate the use of Nano-Bio Kits in their laboratory lessons.

I used to own the 8 gallon Biocube and really enjoyed it. Current USA's Aquapod and JBJ's nanocube are other brands of essentially the same tank, so if you find a better deal on another brand that would be ok too.
