Message Bean Can

Cans of bean from SMP style meets people. For the uninitiated, a “Message Bean” is a single bean (with an laser engraved “message”) packaged with soil in a pull top can.

I’d seen the “message bean” online at various blogs, but had never seen its packaging, first hand and en masse. We took this photo of their display (above) at Gift Fair.

Package design for SMP, we are told, is handled by Vice President/Creative Director Masako Matsuura.
