Williams-Sonoma recently launched their exclusive Pure & Green collection — a line of soaps, lotions and cleaning agents for your kitchen. Williams-Sonoma developed this line of natural products with the high-end soap company Caldrea.
While it is unclear whether the design team at Williams-Sonoma or an outside design firm developed this packaging, one thing is clear: it is beautiful. The clear recycled-plastic packaging allows the product to become part of the design. Layered over the product are beautiful watercolor illustrations of the product ingredients. The illustrations are so subtle that they almost look like photographs from far away, but up close the organic hand-drawn quality is evident. The clean, classic typography that has become a staple of the Williams-Sonoma brand is the finishing touch on this packaging system.
