Berg Water

Bergbottlenew

Newfoundland-based Berg Water bottles pure water from icebergs. Their bottle has a nice sculptural shape and the slight touch of blue/green bring to mind the crystal clear northern waters where icebergs are found. The product will be launched in January 2009.

Unfortunately I could not get the name of the designer or sculptor for the structural design. (Images courtesy of Berg Water)

Thanks for the post. I don't mean to rain on your iceberg, but I sure don't agree with your idea of "Nice" like in " nice sculptural shape". Frankly this is all but nice, design as nothing to do with that I am sorry. Or else, might as well at that point post all the products in your local grocery store.

Does anyone else think bottling iceberg water in plastic bottles is extremely bad for the environment?? Has this company heard about global warming?

I quite like the look of these products. I don't know enough to say anything about their effect on the environment, but from a pure aesthetic standpoint, I think they're lovely.

Why is it worse than bottling any other water? Apart from having to spend energy for production and transportation, which is inevitable no matter where the water comes from, I don't see how breaking off pieces of icebergs harms the environment.
