Green Label Art - Mountain Dew

Fullspread

Mountain Dew has collaborated with select artists to do limited edition bottles entitled Green Label Art. They're cool. These bottles are aluminum and feature shrink-labels with full color graphics. Mountain Dew's move is part of a growing trend where corporate size companies sponsor artists to promote their brand. If you've seen any other examples of this trend (in any industry), please comment!

Pretty rad! Yet, this has been done before. A few years back Coke came out with a line of Aluminum special edition bottles with cool designs. I think Ogilvy & Mather were responsible for them. Maybe they have the Mountain Dew account as well.

You're right, Andrew! The campaign won the Creativity Awards recently http://www.thecreativityawards.com/

Also, it seems this trend is nothing new - Perrier water did this, too - see the post here:http://dieline.typepad.com/blog/2007/03/perrier_art_ser.html(hmm, can't figure out how to make these actual links - sorry bout that..)
